The best outdoor playgrounds in Limassol

1. Petit Plage

Petite Plage has quickly become our little slice of paradise here in Limassol! Tucked away in the Ayios Tychonas area, it’s the perfect spot for us families looking for a beach day with a bit more. The playground is just fantastic – a real gem for the kids, with plenty of imaginative play structures that cater to tots and older children alike.

The location is simply unbeatable, right on the doorstep of some of Limassol's loveliest spots. It’s the ease and convenience that make our visits stress-free and enjoyable.

What sets Petite Plage apart, though, isn’t just the play area. The food here is a lovely mix of Mediterranean delights that even the pickiest little eaters can’t resist. We’re talking about a kids' menu that’s both yummy and somewhat healthy. Expect to spend around €10-€20 per child and €20-€40 per adult, a fair range considering the quality and setting.

In essence, Petite Plage is that rare find that ticks all the boxes for a family day out: delightful food, a serene beachfront location, and a playground that keeps the kiddos enthralled. It’s become a cherished part of our weekends – a place where we can unwind, the kids can play, and we can all enjoy some fabulous food by the sea. Highly recommend giving it a whirl if you’re around!

2. Poseidon Playground

As an expat mum with three little ones under 6, Poseidon Playground in Limassol has been a godsend. The themed areas, Poseidon’s Wrath and Magical Forest, are nothing short of enchanting, offering imaginative play that keeps my crew entertained for hours. The inclusion of a toddler area means even the youngest can join in safely. Be warned, though: parking can be a bit of a puzzle due to the narrow roads. Thankfully, the on-site café is a perfect spot to refuel and relax. It's an ideal outing for families, completely free, and thoroughly enjoyable despite the parking challenge.

3. Molos Seaside Park Playground

Check out this awesome playground we found along the coast towards the Old Port, which is a total hidden gem for families! Not only is the playground packed with cool stuff for the kids to climb, slide, and swing on, but there are also these shallow pools nearby where the kiddos can splash around and cool off. Perfect for those warmer days when you just need to chill a bit.

And let me tell you about the Red Café nearby – they serve the most insane French toast I've ever had. Seriously, it's like a fluffy cloud of breakfast joy on a plate. So, you can let the kids burn off some energy in the playground or the pool, then head over to treat yourself (and them, if they’ve earned it) to some top-notch grub.

Definitely a great spot for a family day out. Good vibes, fun times, and yummy food.

3. Dasoudi Playground

The Dasoudi Playground, nestled within the shade of Limassol's eucalyptus grove, is like a breath of fresh air for us mums with energetic little ones. It's a manageable size, which means I can keep an eye on all three munchkins without them wandering too far. Parking's a dream compared to other spots in town, with plenty of space to avoid the usual stress. The playground equipment, while not the newest, has a charm that keeps the kids coming back for more, from slides to swings and everything in between.

The real gem, though, has to be the proximity to the beach. It means we can split our time between sandy shores and shady play without having to move the car—an absolute win in my book. The nearby café offers the perfect spot for a quick coffee or a bite, allowing us to extend our outings without the need for packing a picnic.
