A day cay at the Amathus Beach Hotel

Our day at the Amathus Beach Hotel during the Christmas break was pretty cool, even without the beach weather. The heated outdoor pool was a hit, especially since there were lots of other families around. Our kids felt right at home.

The kids club was awesome – it had everything from climbing frames and face painting to crafts. Plus, my son couldn't get enough of the Brio trains. Just a heads-up, though, if you've got little ones under 4, you'll need to stick around with them.

Eating at the main restaurant was a win. We found some tasty, kid-friendly local food that was also pretty healthy. Having a room for the day was the best move. I got some reading done while the younger kids napped, my eldest hit the kids club, and my husband checked out the gym, which he said was pretty good for a hotel.

We booked a family room for €120, which gave us access to everything, including the kids club. Considering a day pass was €40 each and didn't cover the kids or give us a room, getting the room made more sense and saved us some cash.

Oh, and if you're thinking of coming in the summer, you're in for a treat. They've got a kids pool with water slides, an outdoor playground, and the beaches are great. Perfect for chilling or letting the kids burn off some energy.

All in all, our day at the Amathus was just what we needed – laid-back, fun, and perfect for the whole fam. If you're looking for a spot where you can relax, let the kids play, and enjoy some decent food and facilities, Amathus has got you covered, no matter the weather.
